Mercator opens Florida office

NEW YORK--Wholesaler Mercator Risk Services Inc. has moved into Florida with the opening of a new Boynton Beach, Fla., office.

Al Colosimo, who currently serves as a managing director, will head the new office, Mercator said in a statement.

"By expanding our operations to Florida, we have significantly broadened our property reach nationally by housing a team of property experts in the part of the country that is most cat-challenged," Mercator President and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Treanor said in the statement.

Mercator, which launched a year ago, also has office locations in Atlanta, Chicago, New York and San Francisco.
