Lancashire appoints CEO of Middle East unit

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates—Lancashire Holdings Ltd. has appointed John Melcon as chief executive officer of its recently announced Dubai-based subsidiary.

Lancashire has applied to the Dubai Financial Services Authority for a license to set up an insurance intermediary in the Dubai International Financial Centre.

Mr. Melcon most recently was general manager of Al Khazna Insurance Co. in the United Arab Emirates.
