BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

NEW YORK—Eric Dinallo, general counsel of brokerage Willis Group Holdings Ltd., will be the next New York State Insurance Department Superintendent, a source familiar with the matter says.

Mr. Dinallo—who was appointed general counsel for London-based Willis in March, and has previously served as managing director and head of regulatory affairs at Morgan Stanley, and led the Investment Protection Bureau for the office of the New York attorney general—has been chosen to replace outgoing superintendent Howard Mills when New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer takes over as New York governor in January 2007.

A spokesman for Mr. Spitzer declined to comment, as did a spokesman for Willis.
