DMEC names co-founder Carruthers to CEO post

SAN DIEGO--Marcia Carruthers has been named the new chief executive officer of the Disability Management Employer Coalition.

Ms. Carruthers, who had held the position of chief operating officer of the coalition she co-founded in 1992, replaces Sharon Kaleta, who announced her retirement Oct. 17.

Ms. Kaleta, DMEC's other co-founder, will continue to serve as chairwoman of the disability management trade association's board of directors.

The DMEC, based in San Diego, is a nonprofit, employer-focused professional association whose objective is to advance the development of integrated disability management processes by employers.
