BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

U.K. anti-discrimination pension rules come into force

Reprints

LONDON—Rules to outlaw age discrimination against pension plan members came into force in the United Kingdom Monday.

The rules were delayed from October 1, when regulations to stop age discrimination in the workplace were introduced, to give employers operating pension plans more time to adapt.

Under the new rules, which transpose a European Union directive on discrimination into U.K law, it will be more difficult for employers to force pension plan members to retire at 65, among other things.
