ZFS opens Central and Eastern Europe unit

VIENNA, Austria—Zurich Financial Services has established a Central and Eastern Europe business unit in Vienna, Austria.

The Vienna office will comprise the company's existing business units in Austria and Russia, ZFS said in a statement, and will become part of the company's Europe General Insurance arm.

Lutz Bauer, chief claims officer for the Europe General Insurance business, will become chief executive officer of the new Central and Eastern Europe unit.
