Merette to lead Aon Consulting Asia Pacific

CHICAGO--Longtime benefit consulting executive Edouard Merette has been named chief executive officer of Aon Consulting Asia Pacific, a unit of Aon Consulting Worldwide.

Previously, Mr. Merette, 43, held a number of executive positions in 22 years with Mercer Human Resource Consulting, including president of Mercer's Asia Pacific unit, where he was responsible for operations in 13 countries.

"We are excited to have such a strong and proven leader join Aon Consulting," said Andrew Appel, CEO of Aon Consulting Worldwide in Chicago, in a statement.

Mr. Merette will be based in Singapore.
