BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.
To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.
To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.
ITASCA, Ill. Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. reported 7.2% revenue growth in its brokerage and risk management segments to $1.08 billion for the first nine months of 2006, the Itasca, Ill.-based brokerage said Tuesday.
A 63.5% dip in its financial services segment revenues, though, curtailed total revenue growth at the world's fourth-largest brokerage, which was up only 1% to $1.12 billion.
Net income more than quadrupled for the three quarters, increasing to $103.9 million from $23.3 million for the same period in 2005, when Gallagher incurred $166.0 million in litigation- and regulation-related costs.
