BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.--Brown & Brown Inc. posted double-digit growth in revenues and profits for the first nine months of 2006, the Daytona Beach, Fla.-based broker said late Monday.

Total revenues increased 12.6% to an acquisition-fueled $663.4 million for the first three quarters, while net income was up 17.3% to $134.7 million.

In a statement, Brown & Brown executives attributed the growth in part to improved operating results from its national retail segment.

In addition, the brokerage so far in 2006 has completed 13 transactions representing $55.5 million in annualized revenue.
