Gallagher names Patrick Gallagher chairman

ITASCA, Ill.--Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. President and Chief Executive Officer J. Patrick Gallagher Jr. has been named to the additional post of chairman of the brokerage.

He replaces his uncle, Robert E. Gallagher, who died in late August.

The late Mr. Gallagher served as chairman of the Itasca, Ill.-based brokerage for 11 years.
