NEW YORK—Integro Insurance Brokers has entered into a new business venture with specialty broker Indemnis Trade Risk Management Ltd.

Indemnis, which has offices in Toronto and New York, specializes in trade risk and trade credit insurance.

New York-based Integro said the agreement is representative of the broker's "open architecture" approach to working with other industry service providers to deliver customized solutions to clients.

The venture is a response to market developments, Integro said, including heightened scrutiny of corporate compliance that has prompted companies to review their trade risk exposures and a growing acceptance of business credit insurance in North America.

Indemnis said the arrangement expands its reach through Integro's network to major companies across North America. Indemnis offers clients a variety of alternative programs, including traditional credit insurance, captive self-insurance, credit default swaps, puts and securitization.
