BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Aetna to take earnings charge related to layoffs

HARTFORD, Conn.—Aetna Inc. said it is taking steps to reduce its administrative expenses that will result in a fourth-quarter, after-tax earnings charge of $20 million.

The charge is related to severance costs as the company plans to lay off about 650 employees, about 2% of its overall workforce.

The Hartford, Conn.-based insurer said Thursday that the changes will result in increased flexibility, more efficient business operations and a commitment of resources to areas with a greater potential for future growth.
