Crawford appoints CFO

ATLANTA--W. Bruce Swain has been appointed chief financial officer and executive vp of Crawford & Co.

The appointment is effective immediately, Atlanta-based Crawford said in a statement.Mr. Swain previously served as senior vp and controller for the Atlanta-based claims manager and in May was named interim chief financial officer when John F. Giblin resigned that month.

"Bruce's financial and analytical skills, combined with his knowledge of Crawford, will serve him and the company well," Tom Crawford, president and chief executive officer of the company, said in a statement.
