APRA publishes pandemic guide
Posted On: Oct. 9, 2006 12:00 AM CSTSYDNEY, Australia - The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, the country's insurance regulator, has published guidance to help the financial services sector prepare for a potential pandemic.
The Sydney-based regulator said it had been working on pandemic planning with several large institutions, industry groups, other regulators and the governments, over the past few months.
APRA said it assesses pandemic continuity planning as part of its routine operational risk reviews.
