>> Pfäffikon, Switzerland-based Glacier Reinsurance A.G. has named Luzi Hitz as senior property underwriter. Previously, Mr. Hitz was head of treaty underwriting, Greater China region, for Swiss Re Hong Kong, a unit of Zurich-based Swiss reinsurance Co. While at Swiss Re, Mr. Hitz also held various positions in the company, including catastrophe risk manager for Asia Pacific region and head of earthquake modeling at Swiss Re's head office in Zurich.

>> London-based insurer Beazley Group P.L.C. has named Joseph Morrello as eastern region underwriting manager within its United States mid-market commercial property team. He will be covering the U.S. east coast from Maine to Florida and will be based in New Jersey. Previously, Mr. Morrello was operations vice-president at FM Global.

>> Lloyd's of London managing agent, Spectrum Syndicate Management Ltd. has named Mark Everest as chief legal counsel. Previously, Mr. Everest was senior associate at London-based law firm Barlow Lyde & Gilbert. He will advise Spectrum on all legal aspects of its business and will manage the company's relationships with external lawyers.

>> London-based U.K. company Royal & SunAlliance Insurance P.L.C. has appointed Mark Holweger to the newly created role of global broker director. In a statement, RSA said that the move followed the reorganization of its commercial business in May. He will be responsible for the insurer's business generated by major national brokers and will be based in London. Previously, Mr. Holweger was director of personal intermediated business at RSA and prior to that worked at AXA and Commercial Union (now part of Aviva P.L.C.).

> London-based high net worth insurer Sterling Insurance Group Ltd. has appointed Steve Williams and Roger Humber. Previously, Mr. Williams was managing director and chief commercial officer of Cardif Pinnacle, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas. Mr. Humber also joins Sterling from Pinnacle where he was managing director of Pinnacle Partnerships and group sales director, responsible for the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Brokers

>> London-based insurance broker R K Harrison Insurance Brokers Ltd. has named Louise Holland as divisional director at its casualty division. Ms. Holland, who will be responsible for developing the broker's North American healthcare business, was previously healthcare underwriter at Lloyd's of London-based Beazley Group P.L.C.

>> Lloyd's of London broker RFIB Group Limited has named Kishor Gohil as director of reinsurance division for its nonmarine unit. He will lead the development of RFIB's nonmarine business emanating from the Indian subcontinent. RFIB also named Margaret Cutler as director of reinsurance division, RFIB Non Marine. Ms. Cutler will focus on eastern European business. Previously, Mr. Gohil and Ms. Cutler were with London-based insurance broker BMS Group Ltd.

>> Oxygen Holdings P.L.C., the London-based broking group, has named Ron Collins and Kevin Conlan as brokers at its newly formed reinsurance unit, Oxygen Re. The company also named Tony Belisle senior account executive at Oxygen Re. Previously, Mr. Collins was at London-based Benfield Group Ltd., while Mr. Conlan was at Gallagher Re, part of Itasca, Illinois-based Arthur J Gallagher & Co. Mr Belisle was most recently a consultant at Deutsche Bank A.G.

>> Cooper Gay Intermediaries L.L.C., the United States treaty reinsurance broking arm of London-based Cooper Gay (Holdings) Ltd., has named Michael Joyce as executive vice-president, based in its Minneapolis office. Previously, Mr. Joyce was a director at John B Collins Associates.

>> International Risk Management Institute, Inc. has named Millicent Workman, as editor of "Practical Risk Management". Ms Millicent, a former Business Insurance "Risk Manager of the Year", is currently completing her term as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Society president.

>> Stamford, Connecticut-based Towers Perrin has named Steve Taylor-Gooby as managing director for its consulting business, Tillinghast. Mr Taylor-Gooby will be responsible for strategic direction and key investment priorities at Tillinghast. He was previously the global business director for the company. The company has also announced that Richard Batty has assumed management responsibility for the Asia-Pacific region, in addition to his role as region manager for Europe.
