BISYS hires leader for environmental unit

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.--BISYS Commercial Insurance Services has hired former American International Group Inc. executive Ken Cornell to help run its new environmental risk unit, the San Francisco-based wholesaler said Monday.

Seeking to grow its environmental wholesale business, BISYS earlier this month acquired the environmental practice of Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based JCH Insurance Brokers.

JCH Environmental Insurance Brokers provides risk management solutions to a wide range of businesses including contracting, manufacturing and real estate with an emphasis in the oil, gas and mining industries.

As executive vp for JCH, Mr. Cornell will be based in New York. He will assist JCH President Jim Herrmann in growing the operation for BISYS.
