Advisen offers insurers access to European database

New York-based Advisen Ltd. is opening a London office, and is to start offering risk managers and insurers data on European risks.

The company, which provides risk-related analytics, benchmarking and market information to the commercial insurance industry, is opening a London office in a bid to provide existing clients in the United Kingdom and Europe with a dedicated "local service", as well as develop further business opportunities.

Mason Power, managing director, Advisen Europe, said: "The business intelligence we provide gives our clients the information they need to make better decisions, whether they are underwriters, buyers of insurance or brokers involved in the structuring of insurance contracts. We are actively expanding our database to include more coverage of U.K. and European private and public risks."
