BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.
To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.
To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.
DES PLAINES, Ill.--Ernst Csiszar will resign as president and chief executive officer of the Property Casualty Insurers Assn. of America on Sept. 30, the association announced Thursday.
Gerald Whitburn, chairman of PCI board of governors, said the organization will begin a national search for a new CEO immediately. June Holmes, PCI's current chief operating officer, will serve as the interim CEO of the insurer trade group.
In a statement announcing the resignation, Mr. Whitburn praised Mr. Csiszar--a former South Carolina insurance director and National Assn. of Insurance Commissioners president who became head of Des Plaines, Ill.-based PCI in 2004--as having "done a fine job of establishing PCI as a major player in our industry at a critical time."
In the same statement, Mr. Csiszar, who gave no reason for his resignation, said he plans "to continue to work within the financial and insurance industries."
A spokesman for PCI did not elaborate on the reasons for Mr. Csiszar's resignation. The spokesman said that Mr. Csiszar and the PCI board "reached a mutual agreement that the time was right for a different leader."
