NEW YORKJack Snyder, former chief marketing officer for American Re-Insurance Co., has joined reinsurance intermediary Guy Carpenter & Co. Inc. to manage its business development in North and South America.
Before joining American Re, Mr. Snyder, who also was named a managing director at Guy Carpenter, was chief ratings officer for Oldwick, N.J.-based A.M. Best Co. and, before that, an insurance securities analyst with New York-based Smith Barney Inc.
"Jack's knowledge of the insurance market, coupled with his rating agency and Wall Street background, will be of great value as we work to provide clients with superior risk management solutions in an increasingly complex environment," said Michael Schnur, executive vp of Guy Carpenter, in a statement.
