BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. -- Fourteen sessions, including four concurrent sessions, kept more than 350 persons engaged during Business Insurance's recent Sixth Annual Workers Compensation Conference.

Attendees also experienced the beauty of balmy skies and marina views during two outdoor lunches as part of the conference Oct. 26-28 at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey, Calif.

The conference, presented in conjunction with International Business Forum, analyzed significant issues, including integrated disability management, ergonomics, returning injured employees to work, benchmarking, alternative risk financing and low-back treatment guidelines.

The format, which included a private roundtable discussion for employers, individual speakers and panel discussions, also allowed many attendees to get answers to their specific workers comp questions.

Plans are being made to hold next year's conference at the same hotel Nov. 15-17.

For information about the next Business Insurance Workers Compensation Conference, call International Business Forum in Rockville Centre, N.Y., at 516-594-3000; or check its World Wide Web site at http://www.ibforum.com.
