ROBINSON GOLF EVENT RAISES ABOUT $40,000

The Eighth Annual Angus Robinson Jr. Memorial Foundation golf tournament, held Sept. 3 at Burning Tree Country Club in Darien, Conn., raised about $40,000 for the educational foundation.

Winning the tournament for the low gross score was a team sponsored by the reinsurance intermediary Aon Re Worldwide. The Aon Re team included Tracey Forst, Steve Stanford, Wayne Pyrtle and Bobby Ellington.

Winning the prize for the low net score was a golf team sponsored by Zurich Reinsurance Centre Holdings Inc. Members of the Zurich Re foursome included Adrianne Reid, Glen Curly, Pete Porrino and Walt Sartorius.

The Angus Robinson Foundation, which was established in memory of reinsurance industry executive Angus Robinson, who died in 1990, awards scholarships to academically qualified students of insurance and reinsurance who need financial assistance. Last year, the foundation awarded 19 scholarships totaling nearly $60,000.
