BURLINGTON, Vt. -- The Vermont Captive Insurance Assn.'s 13th annual conference drew more than 800 attendees to the Sheraton Burlington Hotel & Conference Center in Burlington, Vt.
In addition to seminars on various topics related to captives and their use, the conference was the occasion for the VCIA's presentation of two annual awards.
W. Scott Frazier, executive director North America/Asia for Aon Insurance Managers in Burlington, received the VCIA's Captive Crusader Award, presented by the VCIA staff to a person who has demonstrated exceptional service to the organization.
George A. Chaffee, president of Skandia International Risk Management (Vermont) Inc. in Burlington, was presented the VCIA's Industry Service Award for his contributions to the Vermont captive industry and his role in promoting the state's passage of its captive law while he was insurance commissioner.
