AAMGA ELECTS NEW EXECS

KONA, Hawaii-Paul Davis Jr., president of Texas Specialty Underwriters Inc. in Rockwall, Texas, was installed as the 1997-98 president-elect of the American Assn. of Managing General Agents at its annual meeting May 18-22 at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island of Hawaii.

James Ryan, president of Market Finders Insurance Corp., automatically ascends to the post of 1997-98 president of the AAMGA from his prior position as president-elect. And Charles T. Deering, the 1996-97 president, becomes immediate past president. Mr. Deering is president of Deering & Associates Inc. of Durham, N.C.

Also elected were three new zone directors:

Leonard T. LoVullo, president of LoVullo Associates Inc. in Buffalo, N.Y., was elected director of Zone I, which includes the eastern United States and the upper Midwest.

Donald L. Nicholson, president of Irvin B. Green & Associates Inc. in Orlando, Fla., was elected director of Zone II, which includes 12 southeastern states.

Horst L. Lechler, president of Anderson & Murison Inc. in Los Angeles, was elected director of Zone III, which includes 14 states in the West.

A total of 1,026 people registered for the 71st annual meeting of the AAMGA.

The 1998 conference will be held May 10-14 at the El Conquistador Resort and Country Club in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

Attendance is restricted to members, associate members and exhibitors at the association's annual Trade & Vendor Mart held in conjunction with the meeting.
