BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

A Jan. 20 brief incorrectly stated that a federal judge had dismissed racketeering charges in a case involving a defunct insurer. The judge in San Diego has refused to dismiss racketeering charges filed by a proposed class of First Assurance & Casualty Co. policyholders against Samuel B. Love, Marvin Lewis and others allegedly responsible for the company's collapse (BI, Jan. 6). The judge dismissed similar racketeering claims filed by First Assurance's bankruptcy trustee.
