South Africa’s D&O market remains fragmented: Gallagher

A report by Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said that the market for directors and officers’ liability insurance in South Africa remains fragmented, Middle East Insurance Review reported. The report says that the market is open to privately-held South African companies or domestically listed public companies and continues to be highly competitive when it comes to retentions and pricing; however, local underwriters are still not very open to writing risks of U.S.-listed companies operating in South Africa.
