Marriott faces lawsuit over mass data breach

Millions of customers of U.S.-based Marriott International Inc. have sued the hospitality firm in London, seeking compensation after their personal details were stolen in a data breach, The Guardian reports. Personal data including credit card details, passport numbers and the dates of birth of 339 million guests were stolen in a hack of Marriott's global guest reservation database between 2014 and September 2018.
