BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Rates expected to rise at January renewals: Swiss Re

Swiss Re Ltd., said that insurers and reinsurers are expecting prices to increase at the January 2019 renewals after several catastrophe bond providers and investors suffered disaster-related losses this year, Finews.ch reported citing Financial Times. Christian Mumenthaler, chief executive of Swiss Re, said that competition from catastrophe bonds and other sources of capital has hampered prices despite large catastrophe losses.
