BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

A report by U.S.-based ratings agency A.M. Best Co. Inc. said that insurers and reinsurers across the world are looking at mergers and acquisitions to increase profit amid poor underwriting performance, The Nation reported. A.M. Best said that reinsurers are looking at M&As to build capacity following lower reinsurance prices and increasing pressure from alternative capital markets. New business models and distribution practices have made tech-savvy or specialty insurers more attractive for M&As, the ratings firm added.
