To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Taiwan's fair trade commission slaps Qualcomm with nearly $780-million fine

Taiwan's Fair Trade Commission has fined U.S.-based digital technology company Qualcomm Inc. $23.4 billion Taiwan ($773 million) over the way the firm prices mobile phone chips and patents, Bloomberg reported. Qualcomm has been violating antitrust rules for at least seven years and has collected TWD 400 billion in licensing fees from local firms during the period, the FTC said. Qualcomm has monopoly market status over key mobile phone standards and has violated local laws by refusing to provide products to clients who do not agree with its conditions, the FTC added.
