Switzerland-based catastrophe insurance market data provider Perils A.G. said that European windstorms and cyclones caused insurance and reinsurance industry losses of nearly €640 million ($680 million) in the 2016/17 winter season, Artemis.bm reports. The figure includes industry losses of more than €190 million from windstorm Zeus, which struck Europe in March and primarily affected France.
