Major flood could cost Canada $11 billion: Swiss Re

Swiss Re Ltd. Has said in a recent report that a likely one-in-200-year flood scenario could result in losses of $13.8 billion Canadian ($11 billion) and insured losses of CAD 5.7 billion, reported Calgary Sun.

A major flood in Alberta could lead to economic losses of CAD 4.3 billion and an insured loss of CAD 1.8 billion, said Swiss Re.
