Willis Re, the reinsurance broking arm of Willis Towers Watson P.L.C., has said that several traditional reinsurers "have been able to maintain presence and relevance" through new or alternative capital management platforms, reports Artemis.bm.

Reinsurers are also continuing to launch alternative capital management platforms as a strategy to offset the challenges of a soft reinsurance market, said Willis Re.
