PartnerRe shareholders approve acquisition by Exor

Shareholders of Bermuda-based PartnerRe Ltd. have voted to approve the reinsurer's $6.9 billion acquisition by Italian investment firm Exor S.p.A., reported The Royal Gazette.

The acquisition is on track to be completed in the first quarter of 2016, subject to regulatory approval, PartnerRe said.
