WHO warns of around 10,000 cases of Ebola per week

The World Health Organization has cautioned that 10,000 new Ebola cases could be registered every week within two months, reports The Independent.

WHO officials said the death rate from Ebola has reached 70% from 50% previously. Data from WHO show that 4,447 people have lost their lives so far. WHO's assistant director general Bruce Aylward said the epidemic has now spread to "more districts, counties and prefectures" and there could be an increase in these numbers.
