Gallagher Bassett hit with cyber incident

Gallagher Bassett Services Inc. took its systems offline as it investigated a cyber event, according to an announcement made Monday.
“As part of our comprehensive response plan, we took our global systems offline as a precautionary measure including email, our claims management system, and reporting platforms,” a statement reads. “We immediately implemented our business continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption to our clients and claimants.”
The company said it retained “leading experts to assist with an extensive review of the situation” and that the investigation is ongoing.
