The Travelers Cos. Inc. has introduced virtual and on-site ergonomic assessments using artificial intelligence to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders in its customers’ workforce, the insurer said Monday in a statement.
The AI technology can analyze a smartphone video of a worker performing a task and identify movements and postures that could lead to injuries, Hartford, Connecticut-based Travelers said. The technology quantifies the risk and creates a report that Travelers can then use to develop recommendations to reduce workers’ risk of injury.
The technology is available now to all Travelers’ customers.
Cyber risks topped the 2019 Travelers Risk Index for the first time since the survey’s origin in 2014, the insurer said in a statement Monday.
