A bill to adopt an Official Disability Guidelines workers compensation drug formulary has moved to the Indiana House of Representatives from the state Senate.
S.B. 369, authored by Republican state Sen. Randall Head, passed out of the Senate in a 42-6 vote on Feb. 6. The drug formulary would prohibit workers comp and occupational disease compensation reimbursement for drugs specified in the ODG. The bill requires the adoption of the formulary by Jan. 1, 2019, according to the bill’s latest text.
The bill had its first reading in the House and was referred to its Committee on Employment, Labor and Pensions on Monday.
Most businesses in Indiana will spend less on workers compensation insurance in 2018 after the Indiana Department of Insurance on Friday approved a 12.8% rate decrease, which was proposed by the Indiana Compensation Rating Bureau.
