To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

American Society of Safety Engineers elects new leadership

The American Society of Safety Engineers elected Jim Smith, director of risk control services for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Risk Management Services, as its 2017-2018 president.

Rixio Medina, business development director with the Indianapolis-based Board of Certified Safety Professionals, was named president-elect, the Park Ridge, Illinois-based society said Tuesday in a statement.

In addition, Diana Stegall, a senior loss control specialist for New Berlin, Wisconsin-based United Heartland, was elected senior vice president, and Carl Heinlein, a senior safety consultant at Richardson, Texas-based American Contractors Insurance Group, was elected director-at-large, according to the statement.

The new leaders begin their terms July 1, the society said.
