Axis hires property execs from Chubb, Ethos

Axis Insurance Co., the specialty insurance business of Bermuda-based Axis Capital Holdings Ltd., said Wednesday it has recruited three executives to its U.S. excess and surplus property team, one from Chubb Ltd. and two from Ethos Specialty Insurance Services LLC.
Michael Worman has joined Axis as senior vice president, based in Los Angeles. Mr. Worman was previously senior vice president at Chubb’s Westchester E&S wholesale business.
As regional manager of the West Coast, Mr. Worman will be responsible for driving business growth in the region, Axis said in a statement.
David Malcolm has also joined Axis as senior vice president, based in Alpharetta, Georgia. Mr. Malcolm was previously senior vice president for property at Ethos Insurance Services, the U.S. underwriting arm of Bermuda-based Ascot Group Ltd.
Lisa Finch has been named vice president. Ms. Finch was previously vice president at Ethos and is also based in Alpharetta.
All three will report to Michael Carr, head of E&S property for Axis.
