BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said Monday it has awarded more than $31 million to four individuals in two separate cases.

In the first order, the SEC awarded almost $27 million to two claimants who provided new information and assistance during an existing investigation.  The agency said this helped bring an enforcement action that resulted in the return of millions of dollars to investors.

In the second order, the SEC awarded one whistleblower an award of about $3.75 million and another an award of about $750,000 for assisting an ongoing investigation.

Last week, the SEC said it had awarded $3.6 million to a whistleblower in one case, and $22 million to two whistleblowers in another case.

The SEC does not identify the names of the whistleblowers, nor the companies involved.
