BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Northwestern University named Luke Figora vice president of operations, expanding his position as chief risk and compliance officer.

In the newly created role, which he began Thursday, Mr. Figora will report to Craig Johnson, Northwestern’s senior vice president of business and finance, as an adviser and operational subject matter expert, the Evanston, Illinois-based university said in a statement.

In addition, Mr. Figora will work with unit leaders in neighborhood and community relations; organizational strategy and change; risk, internal audit and compliance; and safety and security.

Mr. Figora, who joined Northwestern in 2015, was most recently senior associate vice president and chief risk and compliance officer. He has also led the university’s COVID-19 response since the start of the pandemic.

He was named risk manager of the year by the Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. in 2019.
