BMS adds marine execs from Price Forbes

BMS Group Inc. has named former Price Forbes & Partners executives Nick Hocking, Tony Cuthbertson and Josh Robertson as directors of BMS Harris & Dixon Marine, the broker’s marine subsidiary, effective in February 2021.
The men will provide U.S. marine wholesale capability in marine specialty areas including hull and machinery, protection and indemnity, charterers’ liability and other specialist covers, the broker’s statement said Tuesday.
They will be based in London and report to John Hoare, managing director of BMS H&D Marine.
All three were most recently executive directors in the marine division at Price Forbes.
Ian Gormley, managing director of the BMS Global Risks division, said in the statement that “The marine wholesale insurance situation is evolving rapidly,” and hardening market conditions present opportunity.
