BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Aon PLC said Thursday it plans to expand its corporate apprenticeship program over the next five years with a $30 million investment.

Aon said in a statement that it will lead the formation of local Apprentice Networks in six new cities across the United States, building upon the approach of programs in the Chicago area and London.

The statement said Aon will initiate the program’s expansion with a starting class of more than 100 apprentices next year in the metropolitan areas of Chicago, Houston, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington.

Since launching the Chicago Apprentice Network in 2017 with Accenture PLC and Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. with a class of 25 apprentices, the initiative has grown to more than 40 employers working with 740 apprentices, according to the statement.

Aon said that with the expansion it will lead the development of a nationwide network of employers to create 10,000 apprenticeships across the U.S. by 2030.

The brokerage said it will spearhead the Chicago Apprentice Network’s expansion to other cities with JP Morgan Chase & Co., Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. and Zurich, and will collaborate with educational institutions and nonprofits to create the network’s infrastructure.
