BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Break Out Awards

Due to disruptions at numerous companies caused by the coronavirus outbreak, Business Insurance has extended the nomination deadline for its 2020 Break Out Awards to March 31.

The program, which recognizes the next generation of leaders in the insurance sector, is open to all up-and-coming managers and executives in the risk management and commercial property/casualty field.

Honorees from across the United States will be recognized for their leadership, expertise and professional skills and can be working in any area of the industry — risk managers, brokers, insurers, reinsurers, wholesalers, agencies, MGAs, MGUs, captive managers, third-party administrators and other service providers.

While there is no age limit, nominees must have worked in the industry for no more than 15 years. Nominees will have already established themselves in their careers and will be on a leadership trajectory.

Winners will be notified in mid-April, and their profiles will be published in the June 2020 edition of Business Insurance. Regional awards events honoring the 40 winners — 10 from each of four regions — will be held in June.
