Tennessee insurance commissioner named

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee has named Hodgen Mainda as commissioner of the state’s Department of Commerce & Insurance, effective Oct. 1.
Mr. Mainda is currently the vice president for community development at the Electric Power Board in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He will replace Julie Mix McPeak, who resigned her position effective June 14.
