Berkley picks former AIG exec to lead new transportation unit

W.R. Berkley said Thursday it has formed a new transportation unit headed by former American International Group Inc. executive Jeanne R. Fenster.
The company said in a statement that Berkley Prime Transportation will focus on providing primary commercial transportation products countrywide for standard and preferred risks.
Ms. Fenster, formerly senior vice president and global head of auto and general liability at AIG, has been named president of the new division. She will be based in West Hartford, Connecticut, according to a Berkley spokeswoman.
