TigerRisk hires longtime alternative reinsurance executive

TigerRisk Partners LLC on Tuesday named former Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. CEO Robert Bredahl as president and chief operating officer, replacing Tony Ursano, who left the reinsurance brokerage last month.
The appointment will be effective in mid-June, according to a statement by Stamford, Connecticut-based TigerRisk. Mr. Bredahl will be based in New York.
Bermuda-based Third Point Re last week announced that Mr. Bredahl had resigned as president and CEO and would be replaced on an interim basis by Daniel Malloy.
Mr. Bredahl joined the hedge-fund-backed reinsurer when it was founded in 2012. Prior to joining Third Point, he headed Aon PLC’s investment banking unit and before that had held various financial markets positions including working in derivatives sales.
