BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Everest Insurance, the property/casualty and specialty insurance unit of Everest Re Group Ltd., on Monday said it has launched Everest Alpine Insurance.

The multinational coverage form offers general liability, contingent auto liability, business travel accident, foreign voluntary workers compensation, kidnap/ransom/extortion and commercial property lines, the statement said.

Enhancements to the Everest Alpine Insurance form include expanded coverage for business travel accident and kidnap, ransom, and extortion coverages, as well as new enhancements for educational, manufacturing and business services accounts, for which Industry verticals have been created, Doug Guenther, vice president and head of multinational casualty at Everest Insurance, said in an email.

“Within these industries, our experienced international underwriters have moved to expand limits as well as terms and conditions within our Business Travel Accident (BTA) & Kidnap Ransom (K&R) offerings,” Mr. Guenther said.

Examples include political repatriation as well as medical repatriations aggregates for BTA, he said, and removal of generally excluded countries on K&R after a thorough underwriting analysis.

“For Educational risks we are providing enhanced coverages for general liability, contingent auto liability as well as the above BTA and K&R,” Mr Guenther said. “Our goal since inception is to broaden our base policy forms.”
