French reinsurer Scor SE said Wednesday it has appointed Jean-Paul Conoscente as CEO of its global property/casualty division, based in New York.
Mr. Conoscente, who is currently CEO of reinsurance for Scor’s property/casualty division, will take up his new role on April 1 and will also join the group’s executive committee, Scor said in a statement.
His appointment follows the decision of Victor Peignet, CEO of Scor’s global property/casualty division since 2005, to retire, the statement said.
(Reuters) — French reinsurer Scor SE, which was the target of a thwarted acquisition by rival Covea Mutual Insurance Group Co. last year, posted a surge in overall 2018 net income despite a loss in the fourth quarter caused by a spate of natural disasters.
