BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.
To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.
To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.
Risk management information systems firm Ventiv Technology Inc. has acquired David Corp., a producer of claims and policy administration software, Atlanta-based Ventiv said Thursday.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
David Corp. President and CEO Mark Dorn will not be joining the combined companies but will serve as a consultant during the transition period following Ventiv’s acquisition of David Corp., Ventiv said in a statement.
As a combined company, Ventiv Technology will have more than 625 clients, 390,000 users and 450 colleagues with offices in nine countries, the statement said.
“With our purchase of David Corporation, Ventiv enhances our product capabilities and improves our competitive position in several important markets,” including captive insurers, health care, and risk pools, risk retention groups and insurance funds, Ventiv CEO Bill Diaz said in the statement.
Risk managers are demanding more of the technology providers and systems they use as the field of risk management evolves.
